Normex AS, based in Ålesund, has entered into an agreement with Aas Mekaniske Verksted for the delivery of ozone systems for seven wellboats, newbuild numbers 215–221. Deliveries will take place on an ongoing basis until the final system is handed over on 2 February 2027.
Aas Mekaniske Verksted specialises in the development and construction of modern wellboats, with a strong focus on the environment, fish welfare, quality and cost efficiency. The agreement with Normex supports these ambitions.

The ozone systems will contribute to efficient and environmentally friendly disinfection of wells and pipework on board the wellboats. The technology has been developed to reduce the need for chemicals and to support modern requirements for biosecurity, fish welfare and sustainable operations in the aquaculture industry.
